About
I am Jade Riley. I build and run this site on my own from Johannesburg, South Africa. There is no company behind it, no team, and no investors — when you email hello@onetimetool.com it reaches me and I am the one who answers.
Why it exists
Every app you use is obliged to let you export your own data, and almost none of them give you something a person can read. WhatsApp hands you a ZIP full of loose files. Instagram gives you raw JSON with the emoji broken. Google hands back a stack of numbered archives with no way to open them. It is technically your data and practically useless.
The tools that fix this mostly want a monthly subscription for something you will do once in your life, or they want an account and a card before they will even tell you whether it worked on your file. That is backwards, so this site does the opposite.
What I promise
- You see the result before you pay. Upload your real file, look at the real parsed output, then decide. No account, no card, no email address to get that far.
- One payment for one job. There is no subscription and nothing to cancel.
- Your files are deleted within 7 days. Automatically, on a schedule, including anything extracted from them.
- I do not use fake trust signals. There are no review scores on this site, no badges and no customer counts, because I would have to invent them.
What I am not
I am not a lawyer, an accountant, a medical professional or an immigration adviser. Some of these tools produce documents people use in serious situations — court, insurance claims, visa applications. The tool formats what you give it and nothing more. Whether a document is accepted, admissible or sufficient in your situation is not something I can tell you, and I will say so plainly rather than guess.
If a tool here is bad
Tell me. If it is broken I will fix it, and if it turns out not to be useful I will take it down rather than leave it up looking busy. The list of tools on this site is meant to shrink as well as grow.
